Faced with a life threatening situation, the doctors must fight to stay alive while trying to save the lives of their peers; Bailey and Ben make a decision regarding their relationship; and Teddy is presented with a tempting offer. Meanwhile, Richard plans a special dinner for the residents.

Richard had not just been a mentor to Meredith, but had had more or less been like one to everybody else in the show. Alex wanted John Hopkins and Webber was there to in a way hand it to him. Well Alex deserved it because he had worked had to secure his dream move. But with the way things are going it looks like the staff is thinning considerably at Seattle Grace.

As for Cristina and Yang, it looks like it is now official that they are done with each other. Mer wanted Yang to be with her but she has set her mind on looking outwards. Meanwhile Cristina decided to head to Mayo Clinic after her hook up with Owen. But Derek wanted to leave for Harvard while Meredith preferred Seattle. Gray then did what she should have done long ago by talking this over with her husband; both of them then chose to head to Boston while Derek became head of Neurology at Harvard.

Okay, Ben asked Bailey to marry him which is good news for her, but she had not finished saying yes before a job offer came to Ben; he would be leaving! Something has to give in this case, the girl needs a break.

The really sad story was Kepner who failed the board exams. All pending job offers were immediately withdrawn and to cap it up, she had to be fired at Seattle Grace. It was something Owen would want to repeat.

It also looks like April is having a hard time as well with the way she lost it with Jackson. But Mark seems to be in a fix now with Lexie on one side and Julia on the other. He would have to make a decision or things might just turn ugly.

Fans got to see Meredith and Derek’s dream house for the first time and this leads us to what happened at the very end of the episode.

But by far the most shocking thing that happened was the plane crash with all the main characters and more in it. Derek got sucked out; there’s no way he could have survived that. Arizona’s talk with Callie then had a new meaning. Mark’s indecision also got a new shade. Baby Zola was also in the plane! Everything was left hanging and if this was the season finale, it would have been a really cruel way to end it.

But there’s just one more episode left! This means that the season finale would be sad no matter how you look at it. Lives would be altered and that is a certainty. All that talk about moving here or there would change. One or two may be physically damaged and the likelihood of death can’t be ruled out. Many a fan would have their fingers crossed as the season finale comes along next week.

And the doctors had other personal issues to contend with when the examiners came calling. Things were really set up for mass failure if what they were going through in their personal lives was anything to consider. The residents were like sheep being led to the slaughter house and fans could connect to their anxiety as they had to take on this people who looked ready to withdraw your license if you as much as coughed or did anything out of place.

There no one of them that did not have any issue going on and they were all serious issues. Meanwhile, the exams have a scary record of one doctor failing out of every five; they were five that took the exam. In the end it was April that failed. She had freaked out at the exam and after all is said and done; it did look as if it made sense that she should be the one.

Meanwhile she is still struggling with sleeping with Jackson and her religious beliefs. It is natural that someone that had such strong religious stance should have an issue if she goes against it so this was kind of expected.

But fans got to see some exciting guest appearances in William Daniels of ‘Boy Meets World’. It has been long since he was last seen on television when he played the popular role of Mr. Feeny. Another person was Jordan Belfi of ‘Entourage’. He playing a role that might mean he will be seen again in coming episodes.

Lexie and Mark had a heart to heart and she finally got to let him know that she was still in love with him. But it was rally awkward that Juliet came in at the same time announcing that she was ready to start a family with him and that was before he had time to even respond. That was an interesting situation, wonder what next episode would bring for her.

Besides her role in 24, Mary Lynn Rajskub is also known for her role in Modern Family on ABC, and How to Be a Gentleman, the sitcom that used to air on CBS. The Grey’s Anatomy’s episode that she is planned to appear on will air on the 10th of May.

As for the long awaited season finale of the show it will air on the 17th of May, commenting on the season finale the star of the show Sarah Drew, who plays the role of Dr. April Kepner, stated that the season finale would be surprising and it will hold a very dramatic cliff hanger.

The residents determine their future as they make their final decisions regarding post residency positions; Mark admits to Derek that he is torn between his love for Lexie and the fact that Julia can give him everything he’s ever wanted; Ben plans something extra special for Bailey, but she is preoccupied with her work; and Arizona encourages her childhood friend, Nick, to have surgery. Meanwhile a couple on their third honeymoon come to the hospital complaining of mysterious symptoms.

The residents agonize over their oral boards, reliving every answer they gave during their exams; Arizona’s close childhood friend comes to Seattle Grace for medical help; the doctors work on a patient who is missing one third of his skull; and Julia asks Mark to start a family with her. Meanwhile Catherine tells Richard that one of his residents has failed.

She hinted before that the season finale of the 8th season that will be named Flight will be on the same level of the 6th season finale that was divided into two parts. The two parts were named “Death and All his Friends” and “Sanctuary”. This season finale is known for presenting the very famous shooting incident at the hospital.

And of course, Grey’s Anatomy is all about relationships and hook ups, and since the events of this episode take place in another state, its only logical that new hook ups will take place. Because being in a new place brings a whole new state of mind that would make people take decisions they never took before. As April finally decided to give Jackson Avery what he deserves, and it was actually about time, they have been getting closer to each other by the episode, and they have amazing chemistry between them, so it is only logical for them to hook up and of course, she should have never let him get out of bed after they were done, why wouldn’t she want to wake up next to this hot guy. Onto another Avery hook up, as Catherine finally made Richard smile, we haven’t seen Richard smiling for some time now.

As for Alex, he proved to everyone that he really belongs to pediatrics; he left the exam and San Francisco in order to be at the side of Arizona and Morgan while they were battling for Morgan’s baby’s life. It was even admitted by Morgan herself when she stated that she doesn’t want anyone but Karev to be the follower of her baby’s case. This can pretty much develop into a relationship between the two. We all know that Alex Karev needs a real and an intimate relationship with a smart and sane woman, and Morgan is exactly that, so she would be the perfect fit for Alex.

And finally, the two BFFs, Meredith and Cristina showed us all that they are the core and the soul of Grey’s Anatomy. They are true friends, they have their ups and down but they are still best friends, they share everything, and Cristina finally went all out and told Meredith all about Owen and his affair, watching them talk and share secrets has to be the highlight of any episode, they are very exciting and fun to watch.

So all in all, it was an amazing Grey’s Anatomy episode, it was intense, intriguing and filled with emotional and exciting moments. It is yet another solid from Grey’s Anatomy. Kudos to the creators for keeping up with their high level of quality.

So leaving that aside let’s turn our attention to this week’s ‘The Girl with No Name.‘ It’s a fabulous and emotional one hour.

The episode is about a young girl who has been admitted to the hospital following several injuries. Several years ago she was abducted outside of a grocery store. So her case makes national headlines.

‘Switched at Birth‘s Vanessa Marano appears as the guest star. She does a wonderful job of playing the role of the abducted girl. The very notion of your child getting missing in the blink of an eye is scary enough. Now the only thing her parents want is: find the abductor and bring him to justice.

Elsewhere after learning about her disease Loretta Devine seems to be on an amorous adventure. Her husband is stupefied this week when he walks into Devine in bed with another man. Could it mean they are soon going to split up?

Turning to Owen, the man is starting to feel the heat. He is finally realising that being the Chief is not easy. Fortunately he has Cristina to help him. First she mends their relationship, then she lets her stay at the flat and then she claps for the man at the staff meeting.

Whatever is brewing up between them is very confusing. Owen has cheated on his wife and Cristina isn’t famous for her amicable disposition. But for some mysterious reason they go together rather well.

Turning back to the doctors’ interviews, Meredith has interviewed in Boston and Francisco. She may decide to move to Boston.

Alex’s new job may take him out of Toledo or, probably at the Yale. Cristina has abundant offers from around the country. And April isn’t finding her new job at Northwestern the kind she had aspired for.

Owen was not around but the chief of the day was Sloan and he put on a different personality to play this role. He became a stickler for the rules and it won’t really be bad if Mark actually became the next chief. And Eric Dane who plays Mark had more screen time.

The couple for the moment i.e. the couple that is not going through a storm right now is Meredith and Derek. They were at the daycare with Zola and they really deserve the happiness they have found. They are arguably the most developed characters in the show. There was a time Meredith was dark and had very few scruples. There was a time both of them were more or less wild like the time they met during the prom even when Derek was still married.

Yang now seems to be the dark one presently and Meredith has been trying to reach out to her because she is aware of her situation. Cristina needs to confide in someone but she is still holding everything inside. And she might be looking for closure when she asked for full disclosure from Owen after he had admitted that he slept with someone from the hospital. She wanted to know who probably because the hospital was closer home. She may not have asked if it was someone he met somewhere else or came from somewhere else. But it is quite understandable that she would want to know who in the hospital would have slept with her husband since they both work in the same place. That is something the writers are definitely going to explore.

The single reason why Owen did it was to get back at her because of the abortion she did. They are two separate issues but closely and intricately connected. It is easy to see and say that Owen cheated on her but he may also see it like she cheated on him by going through the abortion the way she did.

What all that did was to make Owen walk out of their home. They had come a long way but matter has come to a head here and this may just be the end of their relationship as they know it.
